Our Mission
Nagar Women's Health House (NWHH) is dedicated to offering free essential wellness services to the most vulnerable people in the village of Nagar, Chitral, Pakistan. Our free services, encompassing general health checkups, free medicine distribution, health & hygiene seminars, and stitching & wound repair, specifically aim to address the unique health challenges faced by those disproportionately affected by poverty. While our primary focus is on children and women, NWHH warmly welcomes ALL individuals in the pursuit of inclusivity and community well-being.

Our Vision
NWHH envisions a future where the community experiences a safe and comforting environment, guided by the principles of gender equity. As we provide vital health resources, we seek to fortify and nourish the community, fostering economic and social development for a healthier and more resilient society. Our vision extends beyond the present, as we aspire to create a community of local health leaders through education and empowerment, contributing to a positive ripple effect that transcends healthcare and impacts the broader social fabric. By employing local staff members, we actively contribute to the economic growth of the region, creating a sustainable impact on the community's well-being.

Why The Women And Children Of Nagar, Pakistan?
Nagar is a small village located in the region of Chitral, Pakistan. Due to its remote location with undeveloped, rugged roads, and a grueling journey through the mountains, the village has had very little connection with the rest of Pakistan. Because of this, the region gets left behind, with limited access to resources and infrastructure, coupled with extreme poverty. There are no NGOs offering consistent crisis relief efforts or development support to Nagar; it is simply not on the map for them.
According to insight from our local collaborators, there are many myths and taboos around menstruation and reproductive care within this community. This has led to fatal hygiene mis-management, disease and infection, birth complications, shame, and emotional suffering. This directly affects a girl’s ability to attend school, economic opportunity, confidence, autonomy, dignity, participation in the community, and beyond. There is no doubt that creating balance by uplifting some of the most vulnerable members of the community will positively impact the emotional, economic, and social wellbeing of the entire village.
